This has been a season of firsts, mosts, and bests.

This season we had the most multi-goal (2+) games in BCHS history (6).
This season, we had the most wins in BCHS history (4).
This season, we had the most results (wins and ties) in BCHS history (6).
This season, we had the best goal differential in BCHS history (goals scored – goals against).
This season, we had the first ever instance of three wins in a row (Monroe, Butler, McLean).
This season, we had the first hat tricks in BCHS history (Bailey Caster vs. Butler Co. (9/7/17) and Olivia Dowell vs. Monroe Co. (9/23/17))
This season, we had the best record in BCHS history.

Several players set individual records for BCHS soccer

Amber Dupin set the record for assists in a match (2).
Amber Dupin set the record for assists in a season (6 and counting).
Amber Dupin set the record for assists in a career (6 and counting).
Amber Dupin set the record for total appearances (50 and counting).
Bailey Caster set the record for most goals in a season (8 and counting).
Olivia Dowell set the record for the youngest varsity hat trick (14 years and 360 days).

I could go on and on about this season. From our first day together in July until now, I feel like we have grown as a unit. I feel that the bond we have forged will last longer than soccer season. I have enjoyed every minute of working with you all. I have gotten to know you when I may not have otherwise (since I don’t have most of you in class). I look forward to the future…but…there’s one thing left to say…

Notice up there how several of those records include “and counting?” That’s because we are not finished yet. We are taking our three straight wins to end the regular season into the district tournament. We know we can play. It’s time to add another first – first ever trip to the regional tournament.
